THE INNKEEPER
BY: BASEMENT STAIR COLLECTIVE
Join Basement Stair Collective and escape that pesky storm you’ve been trudging through all night, stepping into our hotel lobby that just suddenly appears before you.
Ssssshhhhh sweety, it’s too late and you’re too tired to ask questions.
Taking inspiration from ancient global folklore, BSC uses their signature style of absurd movement, creepy clowning, and textured soundscapes to tell the TAIL of a mysterious hotel where there is more than MEATS the eye.

ARTIST BIO
BASEMENT STAIR COLLECTIVE
Portland, OR
Claire Elizabeth Aldridge, Kora Link, R.L. Routh, and Becca Wirta make up Basement Stair Collective, a local group of queer theatre makers creating original works through the lens of horror . . .
And Stage Fright Festival has quickly become our favorite theatre fest Portland has to offer.
BSC aims to illuminate and challenge the cycles in which we are trapped through immersive, collaborative, design-forward performance. We are the child running up the stairs, and the monster chasing after them.
